Perhaps you've been wondering what Invisalign treatment at Gottsegen Orthodontics is really like, and what effect it will have on your day-to-day activities? You might have wondered: Will Invisalign slur my speech? Will people know I'm in treatment? Dr. Brad Gottsegen and our staff will tell you that you're not alone in your concerns! Today, we thought we’d take a moment and discuss these clear aligners today.If you've qualified for Invisalign at our office, you'll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week, month by month — until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Gottsegen has prescribed. You'll visit our office in New Orleans or Metairie about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time with Dr. Gottsegen getting adjustments.
