Smile! June marks National Smile Month!

With June - also known as National Smile Month - officially upon us, New Orleans and Metairie orthodontist Dr. Brad Gottsegen and team today this might be a good time to remind all of our amazing patients to practice good oral hygiene between your regular visits to our office.

Below are a few simple steps you can take to improve your oral health so that you may celebrate National Smile Month for many, many more years to come:

* Brush at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Here's a helpful video showing you how to brush with your braces on.
* Floss everyday to thoroughly clean between your teeth.
* Reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks during your orthodontic treatment with Dr. Gottsegen.
* Visit your dentist regularly (usually every six months apart or as recommended).
